Description
This is a beautiful quality shrink wrapped copyrighted giclee print of an original Velvia transparency printed with archival inks on Epson pro glossy photo paper that won 'Best Published Photo' of the year in the 1994 Hawaii Visitors Bureau Travel and Journalism Awards by longtime Hawaii professional surfing photographer Bill Romerhaus with caption and photography information on a label on the back of canoe paddlers in front of the infamous Avalanche surf break off the Haleiwa coastline. It was also a full page contest winner in Popular Photography magazine, and a double page in Outside Magazine.**The one we are selling is cropped, and mounted on a single 8x10 inch gold backing mat which is part of the print, please be aware of this.
It has photography preservation tips and more detailed caption information included in the label on the back. This is one of our more popular photos at point of purchase displays here in Hawaii. It is also featured on the cover and in our twice award winning photo history book "Haleiwa: A Pictorial History. We're proud to mention that many of our photos including this one were used as background artwork in the new CBS television network series "Hawaii 5-0".
It would make a great birthday or holiday gift for someone who likes canoe paddling, Hawaii sunsets, or ocean images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.
Our original photos are very popular and affordable to local people and tourists visiting Hawaii, as well as people who have never visited Hawaii and Prices are less than you would pay retail at a gallery and production costs are lower than most folks so we want to offer affordable quality art for people who might not otherwise be able to afford it. Some of the prints will probably increase in value over time. We also offer color photos printed on digital archival photographic paper and giclee prints on canvas to large mural sizes.
We feel we are preserving and promoting the history and culture of Hawaii to Kama'aina, visitors, and other folks at a reasonable price to display or share with others. With proper care it the manufacturer says it should last years without fading if you carefully follow display instructions included on the label on the back of the print. The photo is also available in larger sizes, contact us.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:
e-Bay's transfer process and the computer screen may make the photo look contrasty and slightly darker or lighter, depending on your monitor brightness and contrast settings. The color hues may look slightly different and may have a different tonal range and brightness than you may see on your individual computer screen. Please be aware of this. **When it is trimmed and attached to the single mat 8x10 inch backing board you will be able to see the backing board around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a margin at the top and bottom of the photo (which you can see if you look at the photo.) An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the best way to display this photo. Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using archival photo adhesive and cannot be easily removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. If you want to use a larger frame and can't figure out how to do it with the photo mounted on the backing board, contact us and we can explain how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10 inch frame and displaying the image as is.
Prints are copyrighted and the images are not to be used for commercial, promotional use, or reproduced without our written permission. Please inquire if you have questions.
