Konigs: Brand Distillery Small Plate

Description

This is an "small plate" that my Father picked up while traveling around Germany while he was stationed there in the mid to late 50's.  Konigs: Brand was one of the oldest distilleries in upper Bavaria.  On the front under "Konigs: Brand" it says "Ein Koniglicher Weinbrand" which translates to "A Royal Brandy" so I'm guessing they made Brandy.  This plate is cream in color and rimmed in gold with the brand done in navy, gold and red.  On the back is the stamp, "Altenkunstadt Bavaria" along with a sailing ship, of the company that made the plate.  The plate measures 4 5/8" X 4 5/8" X 5/8".
